Graduate Software Developer – Dolphin

We are a young, expanding company based in Weybridge Surrey, and have offices in Dubai and Singapore.

Since the company was founded in 2000, we have established a strong reputation for technical innovation and exceptional customer service in the mission-critical space of broadcast playout. Customers include Fox News and Business channels USA, ZDF Germany, Globosat Brazil, OSN Dubai, TV4 Sweden, TV2 Denmark, ART Jordan and Phoenix TV Hong Kong.

To support our expansion we are looking for a Graduate Software Developer to join our Development team in Weybridge. Dolphin delivers highly automated integrated audio, video and graphics functionality for ingest, channel branding and frame-accurate multi-channel playout. Its flexible pipeline design allows users to customise the virtual output chain for each channel, specifying the order in which functions including graphics, effects, and aspect ratio conversion are handled within the system.

Looking for someone with:

  Good degree (or similar) in Computer Science or a related subject

– Passion and knowledge of C++ development

– Academic Experience of developing software through a complete development lifecycle is essential, industry experience is beneficial.

– Strong communication skills

Bonus points for:

– Multithreaded and high performance (real time) software development knowledge

– Video/Audio Processing

– Experience working with C++, Networking, Qt

– Experience within the Broadcast industry

 Responsibilities & duties

– Investigate, Design and implement solutions to problems and new feature requirements

– Setting up / configuring test environments for use whilst developing code

– Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software practices within the business

– Find, report and fix defects, work with the support team to help diagnose and fix customer issues.
