Hong Kong Cable TV chooses Pebble Beach Systems automation
Hong Kong's Cable TV (HKCTV) has placed an order with Pebble Beach Systems via their partner in the region, Magna Systems and Engineering, for a new broadcast automation system which will interface with equipment from Sony, Evertz, Quartz and GVG.
Alex Chelleri, President Pebble Beach Systems APAC says, 'We are delighted to be working with Magna Systems and Engineering on this key project with such a prestigious end user. HKCTV was Hong Kong's first true cable network and offers a broad range of information and entertainment to its viewers through over 100 different pay channels. Our Chinese language support, the range of the device drivers we offer, and our clear commitment to the future of the range were all important factors for them when they were looking to upgrade their current automation system.'
Hong Kong Cable Television Limited is a subsidiary of The Wharf (Holdings) Limited, and became a public listed company in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1999. It is operated by i-Cable Communications Ltd and produces over 10,000 hours of programming every year.
