Working in conjunction with Marina and Neptune for playout, ingest and browsing, Anchor is able to control the management & workflow of content from near line storage to data tape libraries, directly removing the necessity for third party middleware applications.
By eliminating the requirement for separate database synchronisation, Anchor simplifies the overall system to provide increased reliability at reduced cost. The Media Manager provides the ability to build workflows that require video server, nearline disk array and archive storage, where content is tracked throughout the system. Using intelligent Media Movers, Anchor can automatically deliver content - prioritizing transfers of media against the requirements of the on-air playout schedules. Non-scheduled access to media is also possible by using the powerful search tools that can run complex queries for finding media quickly and easily, regardless of its location. Regularly used queries can be saved and recalled by multiple operators.
