Technical Lead Software Developer (Oceans Platform)

Pebble is seeking a Technical Lead Developer with broad range skills across full cycle software development to lead our established Oceans Platform development team in the R&D department.Oceans Platform is part of a wider Oceans Broadcast media management, orchestration, automation, playout Eco-system and provides deployment & common function services for use in On-premises, Public Cloud and hybrid deployment solutions. This hands-on technical leadership role will focus on architecting, developing, and delivering software and technical solutions in the team using Full-Stack technologies, to support our customers in the transition from traditional Broadcast workflows into IP and Cloud technology solutions.



Responsibilities:
The role holder will:
• Will become the Subject Matter Expert and champion for the solutions and technologies used by the Oceans Platform development team.
• Technically lead and guide the development team on a day-to-day basis.
• Work with the Product Owner and other technical leaders to design & develop architectures and solutions that work within the Oceans eco-system.
• Work with the Product Owner to report on, prioritise, organise, and partition workloads for the team in alignment with the business objectives.
• Have a hands-on role to actively investigate, architect, design, implement & code solutions to new features/requirements and to test, find, report and fix defects.
• Advocate and promote best practices in the development of software, including use of modern language techniques, technologies, and toolsets.
• Act as a champion for the full SDLC process, promoting the use of requirements capture, reviews, and testing from unit level to acceptance.
• Champion and drive the Agile/Scrum/SAFe process through its ceremonies.
• Design, set-up/configure test environments for use within the team.
• Work independently and as a team member, both within the team and across the wider R&D department.
• Promote and develop their own knowledge, ideas, and skillsets to meet the requirements of the business.
• Identify and promote efficiencies in working practices.
• Coach and mentor team members, in best practice.
• Promote and develop, ideas and skillsets to meet the requirements of the business whilst driving continuous improvement of development practices.
• On occasion assist the Engineering Manager to support line management and team development.
