Most broadcasters are looking at hybrid implementations for playout. To gain maximum cost efficiency in this configuration requires sophisticated new architectures, bringing state-of-the-art technology and software design standards to the media industry.
At the same time, systems with communications between the ground and the cloud demand new and extremely tight security protocols, to minimise the risk of cyber-threats to the broadcast channels.
