Epsom, Surrey, UK – 31 July 2024: Pebble, the leading automation, content management and integrated channel specialist, is bringing its market-leading products to SET Expo 2024 (with regional partner Videodata, stand 46a, Centro do Convenções, São Paulo, 20 – 22 August). Pebble will demonstrate its ability to deliver flexible, reliable, and scalable automated playout, ensuring exceptional performance at any scale.

Security and resilience are at the heart of any broadcast infrastructure, and particularly playout which is mission critical. Pebble has always developed software tuned to the demands of delivering seamless, uninterrupted output. Automation 2.0 is a completely new generation of its popular and widely-used playout platform.

The highly customisable and capable Automation is designed to support the most complex channels with dynamic scheduling and live interventions. It scales from a single service to hundreds of channels across multiple locations. Automation 2.0 readily interworks with asset management, traffic and scheduling systems, as well as controlling large numbers of devices in multi-vendor environments.

At SET Expo 2024, Pebble will be demonstrating the platform in conjunction with its integrated channel device, which provides audio, video and graphics functionality in a compact and cost-effective unit. Replicating in software all the functionality of a traditional broadcast playout chain, its software architecture is responsive and allows instantaneous changes between workflows and assignments.

“Playout automation is a mature technology, and now broadcasters are looking for the ability to create content chains and workflows to precisely match their business goals,” said David Kicks, VP Sales for the Americas at Pebble. “They need the delivery systems to integrate seamlessly with every aspect of the content and commercial chains, giving clear and intuitive access to those who need it while being very effective at keeping out those who have no part to play.

“Whether small or large, on premises, multi-site or cloud based, SDI or IP, Pebble has the solution. It provides operational clarity, layers of redundancy for complete resilience, and a security architecture, which stays ahead of all the key cyberthreats to networked software,” Kicks added.

Pebble is exhibiting at SET Expo 2024 on the stand of its Latin American distribution partner Videodata, 46a.
